The Randolph County Law Enforcement Youth Camp is accepting camper applications for this years camp through May 18th, 2018. Camp for 2018 is June 18 through June 21, 2018.

Campers need to be between the ages of 11 and 15, and must be 11 by June 18th, the opening day of camp. The application can be dropped off at the sheriff's department or any other police department within Randolph County. They may also be mailed to the Randolph County Sheriff's Department at 155 E South Street, Winchester, Indiana, 47394. Please address the letter to Youth Camp.

Beginning in 2018, all Randolph County registered voters may vote at any Vote Center in Randolph County. The new VOTE CENTERS are replacing the former voting polling places (the place that you used to vote). As long as you are a REGISTERED VOTER from RANDOLPH COUNTY, you may choose any of the VOTE CENTERS from the list. PHOTO ID IS STILL REQUIRED WHEN YOU GO TO VOTE.

The Randolph County Emergency Planning Committee will hold its meetings for the year 2018 at 8:30 AM at the Randolph County Sheriff’s Department, 155 E. South Street, Winchester, IN; on the following dates: February 7, May 2, August 1, November 7, and at such other times as shall be duly authorized by act of the Committee or its Chairman. All interested parties are encouraged to attend.

There is a story of circulating of this man from Winchester injecting innocent passerbyers with heroin. There is no truth to this story in Winchester, Indiana or anywhere else that we know of.  The bogus story also offers a link to share this story on facebook.  To those who are sharing it, please do not.  If you want to share something, share the fact that there isn't truth to this story.  Anybody can post anything on the internet!

The Randolph County Sheriff Dept will be taking applications for part time jail officers. you may apply by picking up an application, Monday thru Friday from 8:00am until 4:30pm at the Sheriff Dept.

The Randolph County Solid Waste Management District is pleased to present a Community Grant Program for 2016, designed to encourage an increase in recycling, raise awareness about important environmental issues and support efforts by county agencies, clubs and businesses to dispose of waste responsibly. All local units of government, non-profit organizations, schools, civic organizations, businesses and clubs operating within Randolph County are encouraged to apply.

The Randolph County Sheriff's Department is accepting applications for the position of Merit Deputy.  The process is utilized to create a list that full time personnel will be hired from in the future.  The qualifications for the position are as follows:

Must be 21 years of age on or before December 31st, 2015

No Felony Convictions

No domestic battery convictions

High School Graduate or GED

Must Pass the following:  General Knowledge Test, Physical Agility Test, Psychological Exam, Interview with Officer Board, and Interview with Merit Board

An updated list of new case filing fees is announced by the state on July 1st of each year. Below is a list of the newest court filing fees as of July 1, 2017.

Civil Cases $185.00 for one defendant, (or $157.00 if Sheriff service is not requested) and $10 for each additional defendant

        **NEW**  Post Judgment Sheriff service requires a one time fee of $28.00

Expungements $185.00 (or $157.00 without service)

Small Claims $125.00 for one defendant, $10 for each additional defendant

The Sheriff's Department is accepting applications for the position of Deputy Sheriff.  You can pick up an application at the Sheriff's Department and submit it with a resume if you prefer by April 15th, 2015. All applicants must be a high school graduate, have no felony or domestic violence convictions, and be at least 21 years of age.
