The Sheriff's Department and City Departments within the County have been receiving multiple complaints of tool thefts from within garages and work sites. Thefts of tool trailers are also occurring. We ask that people in the community keep your garages secure as some of these are occurring in open garages which makes an easy target. We also ask that citizens report any suspicious activity that could be related. You can call in any tips at 765-584-3709 Ext 241 (leave a voicemail if you do not get an answer).
A new page has been created on facebook where you can receive information on current crimes within the County and provide information or tips. Simply go to https://www.facebook.com/RCcrimetips and keep up to date on things going on around the County. We need the public's assistance from time to time to get information on crimes and drugs so do your part and report what you know. Your name can stay anonymous.
In the final weeks of 2014, citizens of Randolph County may have received a notification via the mail from "Local Records Office," an organization that solicits your business to provide you with a copy of your deed and property record. This organization is not associated with the Randolph County Recorder's Office or any other governmental entity. "Local Records Office" is purely a business asking you to send a large sum of money, $89.00 to be exact, in order to obtain a copy of your deed.
