The Pollution Solution Disposal Center is the place to dispose of hazardous household products in an environmentally friendly manner.
Categories of items that may be dropped off are: Household Hazardous Waste, Fluorescent Bulbs, Electronics, Tires and Appliances.
2019 Operating Dates:
Pollution Solution is open every Saturday morning from 8am until 12pm from March 16 until October 19, 2019. We will also be open every Thursday from 3pm to 6pm between those dates.

Items will not be accepted at any other time!
2019 Fees are as followed unless a special tire event is announced:
There is a fee of $10.00 for console and large screen televisions or monitors (25" and larger).
Tires should be brought to Pollution Solution during Tire Collection Events. See information below. Tires brought at other times will be subject to the following charges:

TIRE COLLECTION EVENT- June 8 and September 14 from 8am to 12pm at Pollution Solution. All tires cost $1.00 for disposal EXCEPT tractor tires. Tractor tires are $10.00. Please contact the SWMD office if you are planning on bringing large numbers of tires.
COMMUNITY PAPER SHRED EVENT- April 27th from 10am to 1pm at Orscheln in Winchester and October 12th from 10am to 1pm at Didier Hardware in Union City, Indiana. Residents may bring up to 5 banker boxes to shred. Please contact the SWMD office if you have more than 5 banker boxes that need shredding to see if your needs can be accommodated.
