The Randolph County Property Tax Assessment Board of Appeals (PTABOA) will be meeting to hear appeals assigned to their board for the 2019 Assessment Year. Those required to attend have been notified by mail. This notification indicates the date, the time and the location (Courthouse Commissioner's Room). All of those notified need to attend this board meeting unless you have already meade arrangements with Assessor and or PTABOA President to determine the Assessed Value in your absence.
This is a public meeting/hearing and anyone who wishes to witness the hearings may do so. The gallery only has the ability to witness the proceedings and will have no input, cause any disruption or make comment at the hearing unless you are called forth as a witness.
If there is an incident that causes a disruption, the party (s) will be asked to leave.
If there is evidence to be presented that revolves around the Income Approach to Value, that evidence is confidential and as such, the gallery will be asked to leave until that particular case is resolved. The PTABOA may, at their discretion, adjourn the hearing and meet in a closed hearing to hearing the evidence presented.
