To all taxpayers in Randolph County, as I prepare the Notice of Assessments to be mailed, I have found that there are areas of this county where, based on Market Trends, values are to be raised 30+% however, I can not find it profitable for anyone to increase the values to meet that goal. It is my hope the State will accept my values and allow for, if needed, a much lesser increase. THere are also areas where the values reflect a significant decrease however, like the increase, it is not feasible or equitable to reduce the values beyond a Marketable Value.

The 2021 Randolph County Property Tax Assessment Board of Appeals (PTABOA) schedule has been set for October 6, 2021. The PTABOA will begin at 9:30am and end at 3:30pm

A new scam is circulating where people are calling family members of recently incarcerated persons or the person themselves. The person identifies themself as an "Officer" and tells the person that more bond money is needed or the person will be re arrested. All bond issues are handled in the Randolph County Lobby or through the Randolph County Court system. If you receive calls like this and are in doubt, feel free to tell the person you are going to call the Randolph County Sheriff's Department and clear the matter up. The County Assessor shall provide their Annual Notice of Assessment or Form 11 no later than April 30, of any given year by mail. Any application of appeals, on the assessed value presented on said Form 11, MUST be POSTMARKED by June 15, of any given year (unless stated differently on the Form 11) (Any appeal received without evidence of incorrect valuation
Rumors that a man arrested in Randolph County a couple of days ago being the person that committed the Delphi double homicide are not true. This agency was recently contacted by a media outlet stating that they felt the person recently arrested for child molestation greatly resembled the sketch of the Delphi killings. This agency advised the media outlet that they would forward the info to an FBI agent that was involved in the case. Outside of the person resembling the sketch, there is currently zero evidence that ties him to this case and he is not a suspect in the case. Since then, th
